Trane offers some of the best warranty coverage in the HVAC industry, designed to give homeowners confidence and protection on their investment. Here’s a breakdown of Trane’s residential warranty offerings:
Registered Limited Warranty
When the product is registered within 60 days from installation, warranty coverage extends to 10 years on most parts. This offers long-term protection and can save significantly on potential repair costs. It covers the cost of parts that might fail due to manufacturer defect, but not the labor to repair them*. In most cases, this warranty lasts for 10 years.
Base Limited Warranty
If the product is not registered within 60 days of installation Trane’s Base Limited Warranty will apply. This covers parts for most Trane systems for a standard 5-year period.

Our Extended Warranty
Climate Solutions currently includes a 2 year labor warranty with our installs of full Trane systems in a residential setting. This is to reflect our commitment to quality and reliability. In addition, we provide optional extended warranty plans for increased coverage and peace of mind when customers want it. Extended Warranty options vary. Commercial Warranty
TRANE equipment installed in commercial applications receive Limited Warranty Terms.
- Limited Warranty Period: Coil, Parts – one (1) year
- Limited Warranty Period: Compressor – five (5) years
- Limited Warranty Period: Packaged Unit Heat Exchanger – five (5) years
